Technology Assessment Process (TAP)
For organizations with mature service and infrastructure management processes or where projects may impact critical business systems, PDS has developed a structured approach for designing solutions that reflect unique client demands. This approach is called the PDS Technology Assessment Process (TAP).
A TAP is not just about assessing the client’s environment. It is about building a detailed plan for getting them from their current state to an always on, agile, secure and supported IT environment. PDS consultants work directly with client stakeholders to understand business drivers and the IT Organization’s strategic plan. PDS documents the existing IT infrastructure and service management processes, executes a network readiness assessment and develops the final design.

In order to help clients adopt emerging technologies in a cost effective and efficient manner, each TAP has three primary goals:
- Build consensus on the desired state;
- Determine the readiness of the existing IT and support infrastructure;
- Develop the Road Map for getting to the desired state.
