When data safety is an enormous deal.

The cash is safe in the vault, but most money movement happens through the exchange of data, not currency. It's not a comforting thought for anybody who has crashed a hard drive, which underscores the importance of backup to data security.

We partnered with a large, diversified financial services company to implement data protection backup and recovery standards and consistency across 16 sites nationwide, based on HP's Data Protector technology. Key successes included driving higher data recoverability and DR capabilities across sites while addressing primary regulatory and internal audit mandates tied to data encryption and customer privacy, as well as backup rotation and retention policies.

The vault just got a little thicker.
